Monster Energy Supercross Will Feature a Track Editor

Milestone S.r.l has finally revealed one of the most anticipated features in Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame: the Track Editor. This feature empowers gamers by giving them control over championship racing from the ground up. Literally. Players can customize and share their dream tracks with friends and the Supercross servers.

The first step to generating a custom track is to pick your stadium: choose everything from indoors to outdoors, large or small, and the location.

The track editor, available on PS4, Xbox One and PC, is based on a modular system, where players can mix-and-match over 80 modules to craft their creation. Once the starting grid is placed, it's time to unleash your imagination. Track pieces will include curves with different angles, whoops, single and triple jumps or rhythm sections and straight lines all the way to the finish line. So you can totally make a track that is just rhythm sections all the way to the end to give yourself a case of virtual motion sickness.

After gamers are satisfied with their track's layout, they can then upload the track online and make it available for other users to experience.

Once uploaded on the server, players can use "Likes" to vote for their favorite tracks, in turn increasing the prestige of the track designer. The higher prestige you have, the quicker you will proceed through championships and unlock access special items like bronze, silver and gold badges, plus sponsors, exclusive rear-facing patches, profile icons and more. Courses created with the track editor can be played in the online modes: Single Event, Time Attack and Custom Championship.

So it's in your best interest to make a good track or two.

For those who are looking for a sneak peek of the feature, a mini game is available today on Facebook. The #MySupercrossTrack app will let you enjoy a taste of the full experience by. With the app you can create mini tracks and share them with your friends.

Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame will launch on February 13, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam and Nintendo Switch. Sadly, the track editor will not be available on the Switch.

You can check out the full game's track editor in the trailer below.
