PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is getting a 3D replay and killcam when version 1.0 releases on December 20, 2017. 3D replay is one of the most requested additions to the game, so players should be pretty pleased with this one.

The 3D replay and killcam feature is the product of a partnership between Bluehole and Minkonet, a Korean gaming technology company. In addition to "advanced insight and learning opportunities," the 3D replay and killcam also lets you detect lousy cheaters who might be using speed hack, aimbot or the extrasensory perception (ESP) hacking.

Minkonet CEO Peter Kim said his team knows "expectations from the community are high," but promises the new feature is destined to bring "countless hours of 'wow-factor' moments and sharable content" to the massive world of PUBG streaming and Let's Play videos.

The new 3D system provides "seamless playback video of the primary player's gameplay,' along with the ability to follow other users, and roam the field as an observer during matches so you don't get yourself blown to bits trying to watch other people have fun.

3D replay also gives you the opportunity to learn from your mistakes, and that's an advantage we can't undervalue.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has been a huge hit on PC, with millions of players chasing that chicken dinner. The Xbox One version of PUBG is the same game, fundamentally, but it suffers from some serious technical issues that seriously detract from an otherwise enjoyable experience. That said, the game already hit 1 million players within two days of its Xbox One release.
