Pokémon GO Announces January 2024 Content & Raid Day

Region-locked Ultra Beasts, Therian Legendaries with special moves, Hisuian Typhlosion Raid Day, & more come to Pokémon GO in January 2024.

Niantic has announced all of the content and events coming to Pokémon GO in January 2024 in a major update. While we will break down all of this further and get into theories and the minute details, let's take a look at what we know is coming so far.

These are the Pokémon that will appear in Tier Five raids in Pokémon GO this January 2024:

• January 1st – January 10th: The Ultra Beasts will appear in Tier Five Raids, but will be region locked. Trainers will be able to accept and send Remote Raid Invites to Trainers outside of their region. The Ultra Beasts that will appear and the locations in which they'll be featured include:
  • Buzzwole in the Americas and Greenland
  • Xurkitree in the Asia-Pacific
  • Pheromosa in Europe, India, and the Middle East
• January 10th – January 17th: Therian Forme Tornadus with Bleakwind Storm (can be Shiny)
• January 17th – January 24th: Therian Forme Thundurus with Wildbolt Storm (can be Shiny)
• January 24th – January 31st: Therian Forme Landorus with Sandsear Storm (can be Shiny)
• Shadow Raids: Shadow Moltres (can be Shiny) is a confirmed feature for weekends.

The Raid Hours for the month of January 2024 in Pokémon GO are:

• Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024: Ultra Beasts, featuring:
  • Buzzwole in the Americas and Greenland
  • Xurkitree in the Asia-Pacific
  • Pheromosa in Europe, India, and the Middle East
• Wednesday, January 10th, 2024: Therian Forme Tornadus with Bleakwind Storm (can be Shiny)
• Wednesday, January 17th, 2024: Therian Forme Thundurus with Wildbolt Storm (can be Shiny)
• Wednesday, January 24th, 2024: Therian Forme Landorus with Sandsear Storm (can be Shiny)

• January 14th, 2024: Hisuian Typhlosion Raid Day
• January 20th, 2024: Community Day Classic (rumored to feature Porygon)
• January 19th – January 24th, 2024: Raging Battles Event & GO Battle Week
• January 27th – January 28th, 2024: Shadow Ho-Oh Raid Weekend
• January 27th – February 1st, 2024: Taken Treasures Event

• Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024: Castform with double catch XP, can be Shiny
• Tuesday, January 9th, 2024: Eevee with double catch Candy, can be Shiny
• Tuesday, January 16th, 2024: Ralts with double transfer Candy, can be Shiny
• Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024: Barboach with double XP for evolving, can be Shiny
• Tuesday, January 30th, 2024: Foongus with double Stardust for catching, can be Shiny
