Pokémon GO Brings Everyone Back For Its Biggest Anniversary Yet
With very few exceptions, Pokémon GO is bringing back all previously released species, including wild Legendary spawns, this March.
Article Summary
- Pokémon GO’s 30th Anniversary event brings back nearly all previously released species in wild spawns.
- Legendary Pokémon may appear in the wild or via Incense, with select regionals and forms remaining exclusive.
- Special Pikachu costume raids and Shiny-capable Legendaries headline the exciting raid lineup.
- Event-exclusive 2 KM Eggs feature baby Pokémon with boosted Shiny chances, including regionals like Mime Jr.
In addition to the event celebrating the franchise's 30th Anniversary this year, Pokémon GO is spicing things up with an event during that event that will bring back… well, just about every species.

Here's what's happening for the Pokémon 30th Anniversary: All Out event in Pokémon GO:
- Date and time: Saturday, March 7, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, March 9, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time
- Wild Spawns: Big one here. Niantic writes: "You may encounter almost all Pokémon in their natural habitat that have made their Pokémon GO debuts! Most Pokémon that have ever appeared in Pokémon GO will return!* Pokémon will appear in specific biomes based on their natural habitat and PokéDex entry, so explore different biomes and see what discoveries await you! This does not include Mythical Pokémon, Ultra Beasts, or certain species of Pokémon that are not normally found in the wild." The species not included are: Mewtwo, Smeargle, Shedinja, Kecleon, Giratina, Zoroark, Larvesta, Volcarona, Scatterbug, Spewpa, Vivillon, Zygarde, Mudbray, Mudsdale, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Morpeko, Eternatus, Kubfu, Urshifu, Maushold, Dudunsparce, Gimmighoul, and Gholdengo. Other types of encounters that will not be included are Costumed Pokémon and certain forms of species with multiple forms. Regional species will remain regional.
