You Can Play The Lost 'Rayman' SNES Game Online As A Prototype

This is an interesting Rayman story that will get a few old-school gamers excited and put a smile on some people's faces. Back in the day, Rayman was planned to have a SNES game, with series creator Michel Ancel being one of the two people working on it. The game never came to be and the game was lost to the annals of time. Until today that is when Omar Cornut posted this little picture up on his Twitter account.

Cornut is a game designer himself, but he's also a damn fine historian and archivist when it comes to classic gaming, who told Kotaku that he simply borrowed the prototype cartridge from Ancel and loaded the data up to Dropbox. The SNES Rayman has a smooth flow to it, looks like some of the later titles you'd see as people figured out the true power of the system and what they could accomplish with it.
