Telltale Games Gives Us A First Look At Their Guardians Of The Galaxy Game

Telltale Guardians

Giving us a first look at Guardians of the Galaxy before PAX East this weekend, Telltale games has put out a series of teaser images showing off some of the game. Attendees at PAX East will be able to see more at the Telltale Guardians of the Galaxy panel hosted by Marvel Games Creative Director Bill Rosemann and the Telltale Games team. The panel will focus on the creative process behind the game. The panel will be hosted in the Albatross hall at PAX East and will also be streamed live on Twitch.

Meanwhile attendees of SXSW in Austin will be the first to get hands-on time with the game March 17th. According to Telltale, those attendees will be able to "Crowd Play an early version of the first episode at a one-of-a-kind premiere event at the Paramount Theater, with doors opening at 6:30pm. Audience members will be able to control the story from their seats using their mobile devices to help decide what happens on the big screen!"

The teaser screenshots are below and look like they follow the basic plot of the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

Telltale games often tend to be about as interesting as their source material, and if there is anything I've gathered from Vol 1 of the MCU Guardians film, it's that people are in love with the Guardians. Maybe it's just Chris Pratt, in which case I can't say I blame them. Still, the movie generated a lot of interest and I can only imagine the Telltale game will do the same.

The original announcement video is below.
