Twitch Donated $1m To DrLupo's St. Jude Charity Stream

Twitch managed to pull off a pretty cool surprise this week with one of its streamers, as DrLupo got an amazing surprise in the mail. This year the Fortnite streamer was holding a special charity stream to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Hospital and was doing exceptionally well. The plan was to raise as much money during a 24-hour period as possible. Well, Twitch apparently decided to reward his loyalty to the platform and the efforts of the charitable cause in a major way.

Twitch sent over a special gift to DrLupo during his stream that he opened up live on camera. Here's a clip of the event below, all completely unexpected in real-time, as they sent him a giant gimmick check for $1,000,000 dollars going toward the charity.

A really cool moment that caught him off-guard, and you can see the real tears build up as he looks at the amount. A pretty cool moment both for DrLupo and the platform. It's rare we get to see moments like this during people's streams. Sure, there are major donations that come in all the time for various charity efforts. But to see it done this was for this cause was pretty cool.
