Project Morpheus Now Called PlayStation VR
I'd almost forgotten that Project Morpheus was just a place holder name for the upcoming PlayStation 4 VR headset. It had become part of the vernacular of commenting on VR, I didn't think twice about it changing in the future.
That has all just changed now though. During the Tokyo Games Show Sony Briefing, the headset got its official name, revealed as PlayStation VR. No other details were shared, but it can't be too long until we find out more, what with it coming next year.
Honestly, I'm a little disappointed. PlayStation VR is to the point to be sure, but Morpheus was inviting and pleasantly sounding from a phonic stand point. Now it just sounds like a division within Sony. I'm sure I will come around to it though.
