Ubisoft Is Launching Its Own Theme Park In Malaysia
It turns out Ubisoft is going to be making their own Theme Park. As explained by Ubiblog, the park will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is set to be opened in 2020. It will be based entirely indoors in a 10,000 sq. feet complex. "Rides, shows and other attractions" will all be based on Ubisoft property and characters. The park is being built in partnership with attraction company RSG.
Senior vice president of Ubisoft Motion Pictures Jean de Rivières added:
Ubisoft's intention for this park is to immerse people in reactive worlds where they can interact with each other and become the heroes of their own life-sized game.
I'm fascinated and skeptical in equal measure here. What does an Assassin's Creed ride look like? Rayman? Rainbow Six? Dare I even evoke the Rabbids? Oh my, think of all the Rabbids!
