Yugi From Yu-Gi-Oh is Joining Jump Force
It looks like Yugi from the Yu-Gi-Oh series is joining the fight in Bandai Namco's Jump Force.
Bandai Namco really seems to be packing in everything anime it can get its hands on into Jump Force, at least when it comes to mainstream titles. Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Deathnote, Bleach, One Piece and more have been confirmed for the game, with more expected to be on the way. Where and who it will announce next is certainly something fans are keeping an eye on, as I'm sure there will be many characters fans want to see added.
However, here is one really out of left field I don't think people were expecting. It's been revealed that Yugi from Yu-Gi-Oh will be joining the fight in Jump Force, which immediately begs some questions. He's not really known for his hand to hand combat prowess, so does he use his cards in game to fight or does it not matter? Maybe it is just a video game and we should have some fun seeing Yugi kicking the stuffing out of Goku. In terms of other details from the reveal, there isn't a lot. We will have to wait to find out more it seems.
This is a rather out of left field choice for a fighting game, but you know what? Keep chucking these characters in. Jump Force being seen as the ultimate mainstream anime brawler could be a huge point in its favour. At least for series popular in the West, this is ticking a lot of boxes. Here's hoping it continues to do so.
