A New Trailer for the Live-Action Remake of Aladdin Will Drop Tomorrow
Fans of Aladdin have been a little on edge ever since the first images from the movie were revealed. It was funny to watch as fans reacted very poorly to the fact that Will Smith as the Genie wasn't blue and then, in footage that was dropped later, he was blue and everyone hated it. The movie could use some good press after becoming a meme and it looks like the next trailer is on the way. Good Morning America posted a tweet today saying that the new trailer will drop tomorrow.
We'll have to see if this next trailer is better received than the first one. The thing about CGI and CGI modified characters is that they are changing and being tweaked until the movie is released. Everyone made fun of the CGI for Alita: Battle Angel in the first footage and while there were plenty of things to complain about when it came to that movie the CGI characters weren't it. So, let's hold off before we condemn Aladdin based on CGI alone.
Summary: A live-action retelling of the 1992 Disney film of the same name.
Aladdin, directed by Guy Ritchie, stars Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, Will Smith, Marwan Kenzari, and Numan Acar. It will be released on May 24th, 2019.
