Arrow Isn't Done With Flashbacks… Yet
In an interview with Access Hollywood, they were talking with Stephen Amell and Marc Guggenheim about bringing the flashbacks to an end on Arrow after five seasons. Amell is happy to be done with them simply to say goodbye to the wig. Guggenheim on the other hand teased that the show isn't quite done with flashbacks yet… as the premiere of season six will include a flashback to the island. Now this could easily be that the new season starts in the future and the flashback explains just how whoever survives the explosions gets off the island… which would count as a flashback… or it could be something else entirely.
It's interesting to see that all the way back to Paleyfest the writers knew what was going to happen in the season six premiere.
