Black Lightning Likely To Get Midseason Run
Word is that the Black Lightning series from creators Greg Berlanti, Salim Akil and Mara Brock Akil is likely to get a midseason run on the CW according to THR. Cress Williams is set to play Jefferson Pierce, school teacher turned costumed vigilante. This would be the sixth series for Berlanti on the network counting Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Riverdale. A seventh series, Searchers, is also under consideration, but whose fate will rely on how many series the network picks up. The still undecided fates of The Originals and iZombie are likely to play into the decision.
