Daniel Pyne Joins Season 3 Of Bosch As New Showrunner
Bosch, the Amazon Prime series based on the novels of Michael Connelly and starring Titus Welliver (Marvel's Agents of SHIELD), is getting a new showrunner for season 3. With the previous showrunner, Eric Overmyer, moving over to be the showrunner on Man In The High Castle (but staying on Bosch as an executive producer), Daniel Pyne (Alcatraz) has stepped into his place. Also joining Bosch as an executive producer is Pyne's frequent collaborator John Mankiewicz (House of Cards).
Bosch is now in production for a third season debuting this year and has already been approved for a fourth.
Pyne's writing credits include The Manchurian Candidate, Pacific Heights, and Sum of All Fears.
The series starts Welliver as Detective Hieronymus 'Harry' Bosch, an L.A.P.D homicide detective who gathered a modicum of fame when a case he worked was turned into a TV mini-series. Bosch also stars Jamie Hector, Amy Aquino, Madison Lintz and Lance Reddick.
