Deadpool 2 To Start Filming Early Next Year
Before the Saturn Awards ceremony, Simon Kinberg spoke with Collider about the upcoming sequel to the surprise Fox hit Deadpool and other Marvel related properties.
Kinberg told the reporter that Fox is happy with the $500 Million that X-Men: Apocalypse has made. Saying that Days of Future Past was an outlier in the series and that most of the X-men film have done around the $500 Million mark.
When asked about what is coming up, he said they know they are making Deadpool 2, the Wolverine movie and they really want to make a New Mutant movie and a Gambit movie and they need to figure out what the next X-Men movie is going to be.
As for the second Deadpool movie, the script is being worked on right now by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and they hope to have it completed soon. They also hope to begin shooting early next year.
The pilot for Legion is done, written and directed by Noah Hawley (Fargo) who is also the series show runner. The show has been picked up and they are working on new scripts.
