Kevin Feige Thanks Everyone for Avengers: Infinity War's Record-Breaking Weekend and 10 Years of Movies

Avengers: Infinity War smashed box office records this weekend, and as we come up on the 10-year anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Marvel big boss Kevin Feige took to Twitter to thank fans for all of their support of the many Marvel movies these last 10 years.

Here's the full letter from Feige.

To the greatest fans,

The past ten years have been an unforgettable ride and we couldn't have done it without the entire team at Marvel Studios, our incredible talent in front of and behind the camera, the visionary comic book creators, but importantly you.

Thank you for embracing these characters and stories since we kicked off the MCU ten years ago. This past weekend was a result beyond our wildest dreams.

On behalf of everyone here at Marvel Studios, we thank you for being the best fans in the universe and for making Avengers: Infinity War the biggest opening weekend of all time.

Avengers: Infinity War is well on its way to being one of the biggest movies of the year, but in a packed summer whether or not it has legs at the box office has yet to be seen. We'll have to see how it fares in the next few weeks or so.

Summary: As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

Avengers: Infinity War, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, and Anthony Mackie. It will be released on April 27th.
