Matt Smith Cast In Major Role In New Terminator Trilogy
Talk about geek worlds colliding. Paramount announced today that Doctor Who himself, Matt Smith, has joined the cast of Alan Taylor's now-filming Terminator reboot, formerly going under the title Genesis.
His role is described as "a new character with a strong connection to John Connor." John Connor, this time around, will be played by Jason Clarke. His mom Sarah will be played by Emilia Clarke, while his dad Kyle will be Jai Courtney.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi and Byung Hun Lee also have lead roles.
Smith's role will carry him through all three films of the new trilogy – if it makes it that far, of course. At least he's got the time-traveling thing down.
