NBC Orders Pilot For Redliners From Kelly Sue DeConnick And True Blood Creator Charlaine Harris
There's a new TV show on the way from comics superstar Kelly Sue DeConnick and novelist Charliane Harris, the author of the popular book series upon which HBO's True Blood was based. Called Redliners, the show is an adaptation of short stories by Harris, with DeConnick writing the pilot along with Shaun Cassidy, who, yes, is actually the brother of the Partridge Family's David Cassidy. We know that's usually the kind of thing we'd throw into one of these articles as a joke, but it's for real this time, we promise. The show "follows a pair of former operatives who get reactivated and drawn into a larger conspiracy while attempting to maintain their undercover lives," according to a report from Deadline, and will mix espionage, romance, and humor. NBC has greenlit the pilot, and we'll keep you updated on its status.
