Overlord: Fellowship Of Evil Is A Four Player Co-Op Revival Of Series
The Overlord franchise always sounded like a great idea that never quite came together as well as it should. It charged you with playing as the Overlord of all evil as you tried to rid the world of niceness. It's been quiet for several years now though.
The series is coming back finally in the form of Overlord: Fellowship of Evil. Although those looking for the game to build upon the old formula might be a little disappointed. Instead, the game is now focused on co-op as you battle out of the Netherdeep.
Series writer Rhianna Pratchett has returned to write the game so at the very least, the game should retain some of it's trademark fantasy humour. To get you primed, here is a trailer and a developer diary.
I can't say I'm entirely convinced by this. It doesn't look that dynamic and it most certainly isn't Overlord in a traditional sense. Although, it looks like it could be in a similar vein of Tomb Raider: Temple of Osiris which was a great top down co-op game. We will have to see how this pans out.
The game will be out later this year on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
