Owen Wilson Leaves Comedy Behind For Action Thriller No Escape

Owen Wilson is once again trying his hand at an action thriller. The actor who is best known for his comedic work is teaming with former James Bond, Pierce Brosnan in the Weinstein Company's new film No Escape. Wilson plays a man who moves his family to Southeast Asia just prior to a violent political uprising and now he, along with the help of a government agent (Brosnan) must try and get his family out alive. The film is directed by John Erick Dowdle who also co-wrote it with his brother Drew Dowdle.

This is Wilson's first attempt at the genre since Behind Enemy Lines in 2001.

No Escape opens September 2nd
