Silent Hills Revival Petition Has 50,000 Signatures Already

When Silent Hills was cancelled last week, I'm sure just about everyone was disappointed. Seeing a Silent Hill game designed by Guillermo Del Toro and Hideo Kojima would be quite something. Alas, after the rift between the Metal Gear creator and Konami, it's pretty clear that there would have been no way to make that work environment right.

Well, that isn't enough for some people. A Change.org petition has been set up to appeal to both Del Toro and Kojima to revive the project. It's doing well too. The petition currently has 51,000 signatures as of writing. Feel free to pledge your support here.

This is likely a fruitless effort though. My inkling is that this isn't a Kojima issue, but instead a Konami one. We still don't know the details of the breakup, but my feeling is that it was Konami's choice to end the relationship. If that's the case, I can't imagine there is much anyone could do even if both Del Toro and Kojima really wanted to work on the project.

Thanks VG247 for the heads up!
