Watch The Trailer For Shudder's Relevant Film The Beach House

The Beach House is a new Shudder original starring Liana LiberatoNoah Le Gros, Jake Weber, and Maryanne Nagel and directed by Jeffery A. Brown. The film played really well at festivals and was gobbled up by the horror streamer quickly. It feels especially relevant right now, as a contagion invades a weekend getaway for a pair of couples. Featuring some cool set pieces and some gnarly looking body horror, The Beach House feels like a horror film that is going to both gross us out and then instantly becomes the film we tell all of our friends they have to see. You can watch the trailer, read the synopsis, and see the poster for The Beach House below.

The Beach House Synopsis And Poster

"Escaping to his family's beach house to reconnect, Emily and Randall find their off-season trip interrupted by Mitch and Jane Turner, an older couple acquainted with Randall's estranged father. Unexpected bonds form as the couples let loose and enjoy the isolation, but it all takes an ominous turn as increasingly strange environmental phenomena begin to warp their peaceful evening. As the effects of an infection become evident, Emily struggles to make sense of the contagion before it's too late."

Man, those scenes with the things swimming around in people cocoons or whatever and pulling things out of each other's legs…those are going to stay with me for a while. Body horror really gets to me when I watch it, almost as much as living dolls. I can't handle either of them, yet I continue to watch. The Beach House is reason enough to subscribe to Shudder, which in case you didn't know is only $5.99 a month and the best streaming deal out there. Look for this to debut July 7th.
