No Activity: NSFW Trailer For Will Ferrell/Adam McKay Comedy From CBS All Access
Proving that a streaming service does not live on The Good Fight and Star Trek: Discovery alone, CBS unveiled the first red-band trailer for No Activity, the upcoming CBS All Access comedy series from executive producers Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and Funny or Die.
Developed and executive produced by Patrick Brammall and Trent O'Donnell (who also directs the season), No Activity stars Brammall and Tim Meadows (Saturday Night Live) as two low-level police officers who experience both the weird and the mundane during their sting and surveillance operations.
You can check out the NSFW trailer here, and No Activity is set to premiere Sunday, November 12th:
From executive producers Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Funny Or Die, NO ACTIVITY celebrates the mundane in what should be a high stakes sting operation. Set against the world of a major drug cartel bust, the series follows two low-level cops who have spent far too much time in a car together; two criminals who are largely kept in the dark; two dispatch workers who haven't really clicked; and two Mexican tunnelers who are in way too small a space considering they've only just met.'
From the trailer, we see that McKay and Ferrell are pulling in some creative favors when it comes to guest stars; with the likes of J.K. Simmons, Amy Sedaris, and Jesse Plemons making appearances throughout the season. No Activity also features guest stars Mark Berry, Arturo Castro, Mackenzie Davis, Darren Gilshenan, Travis Guba, Jake Johnson, Sunita Mani, Adrian Martinez, Fred Pohl, Alex Rodriguez, Courtenay Taylor, Michaela Watkins and Daniel Zolghadri.
No Activity represents a further evolution of the programming options available on CBS' still relatively new streaming service. Originally, Star Trek: Discovery was intended to be the launch series for the service; but with delays in the show's production, The Good Wife spinoff The Good Fight would take that honor. With No Activity, CBS All Access now has a drama, sci-fi-adventure and mature comedy series as part of its programming slate.
