Singer Rihanna Check's Into The Bates Motel In Iconic Role

RhiAnnounced at SDCC, singer Rihanna is joining the A&E series Bates Motel in the iconic role of Marion Crane, famously played by Janet Leigh in the film Psycho. This will be the fifth and final season of the contemporary prequel to the classic Alfred Hitchcock film.

"We wanted to thrust the iconic role into a contemporary spotlight and redefine it in a meaningful and exciting new way.  We also heard Rihanna was a fan of the show, and we were huge fans of hers, so it was the perfect collision of creativity and fate," said executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin.

Production on the final season will begin this fall in Vancouver and debut in 2017.
