'The Magicians' Season 4, Episode 6: Penny's Stuck in "A Timeline and Place" [PREVIEW]
With all of the Eliot-centric shenanigans going on during last week's The Magicians, it would be easy to forget that Penny (Arjun Gupta) was abducted part way through the episode!
Don't worry, Penny. We'll never forget you, Boo.
Except, maybe we will? It looks like Penny and Marina (Kacey Rohl) are at the mercy of a magician that can control time and space–and since Penny isn't from our timeline, maybe he's going to get zapped back to his. Then our memories will get wiped and we'll be all "Penny who?"
That would be a pretty nifty trick, SYFY…
Here's a quick recap on where this Penny is from: in the 23rd time loop that Jane Chatwin created to try and stop her brother Martin from destroying everything, events went terribly wrong and Quentin (Jason Ralph) ended up becoming the Beast. Quentin then pretty much brought ruin and devastation to the world, and the Penny of that timeline wandered said hellscape, scavenging to stay alive.
When Julia (Stella Maeve) and Josh (Trevor Einhorn) traveled from the 40th Timeline to the 23rd Timeline, they met Penny and Marina–both dead in current continuity. Josh and Julia decided to bring the pair back with them to the 40th Timeline, and if that isn't at all confusing? Congratulations! You're a Timelord!
We already know "A Timeline and Place" will focus on Penny and Marina's tribulations in time, but there is still so much we need resolutions for regarding the rest of the Brakebills kids! Now that Quentin knows Eliot (Hale Appleman) is still alive, will he find a way to rescue his friend from with the Monster of Blackspire Castle?
And what about the Monster? Now that it's managed to kill a couple of gods, will it start to regain some semblance of humanity–or is it going to go even more kill-crazy?
We'll have more answers starting Wednesday, February 27th, when "A Timeline and Place" airs on SYFY! Here's a look at more of what's in store:
