Fantastic Four #642 About To Sell Out – Will It Kickstart Secret Wars? (Last Page Spoiler)

There are a few copies left at Diamond's warehouse if retailers are interested. But not many. By the time this article goes up, retailers may have wiped Marvel out.

Today's Fantastic Four #642, is the beginning of the final arc of the comic book, before it is cancelled. But Mr Fantastic – both of him – are prominent in Secret Wars as the Marvel and the Ultimate Universes clash.

And I understand that this arc will specifically lead into that. We've certainly looked at the importance of Mr Fantastic to the series, Doom looks set to join that, and it is very likely that writer Jonathan Hickman will use plots from his run on the book in the series. Franklin, with his reality altering powers, is a major focus of the book. And then there's the last page which has already had an impact on the back issue market…

But it looks as if this comic book may be the first contender for a second printing since Jonathan Hickman was writer. But will Marvel allow it?
