"Be Our Guest" Thoughts On Hearthstone: One Night In Karazhan Wing One
I finally sat down this morning to indulge in some quality Hearthstone time. Anticipating the release of their new event One Night in Karazhan, I was ready for action. With this being the first real Hearthstone event that I've ever participated in, I was even more excited than most, I'm sure. The sight of this invitation brought a smile to my face…
[WARNING: SPOILERS FOR HEARTHSTONE: ONE NIGHT IN KARAZHAN BELOW!]
The prologue story was dynamite. You get to play as Medivh himself, which is really exciting. I felt like his deck was super on point. Everything combo-ed so well together. However, the surprise of him being taken away was a bummer…
I was happy to see the story continue in a Beauty and the Beast inspired fashion. I couldn't help but hear Lumiere in the background singing "Be Our Guest" while I played.
This is what I mean…the first boss is literally a pile of dishes and silverware and well, he summons a lot of these 0 cost plates. If you're not careful, they'll overwhelm you. I attempted to use my Hunter deck the first time I played, but turned to my Mage after a loss. Flamestrike was necessary.
The second boss is a magic mirror who has a lot of spirit. All of the cards that he plays are doubled with a 1/1 replica, and in turn so are yours. I found that addition to be pretty helpful. The final boss of the three for this week created a different kind of feel. Where in the first two you get to use a deck of your choice, the final one for this week brings you to a chess match. This was a lot of fun for me. I enjoyed the different gameplay aspect and strategy that went into placing cards.
There are a lot of different rewards that you get from playing, but as a person who plays as a Mage often…
…this card made me pretty happy.
Overall, I'm super pumped about this new event and I can't wait to keep playing. Keep your eyes peeled for my next round of thoughts on Hearthstone: One Night In Karazhan next week!
