Last week, McFarlane Toys dropped their new Batman Beyond Old Man Bruce Wayne Animation action figure (below) for San Diego Comic Con. This was a very interesting release as it was similar to their The New Batman Adventure line, which brings the animated styles of this classic 2000s cartoon to life. Well, that was only scratching the surface, as McFarlane Tosy has just teased that a new Gold Label Batman Beyond figure is on the way! For fans who are unaware, Batman Beyond was a remarkably popular animated television series that aired from 1999 to 2001 and took place in alternate yet futuristic Gotham City in 2039.

The show introduces DC Comics fans to a new Batman, who ends up taking on the mantle under the guidance of an elderly Bruce Wayne. Batman's old age finally caught up to him in this era, and it was only years later that he came across Terry McGinnis, a rough-around-the-edge high school student who discovers Bruce's secret identity. Terry has a high-tech Batsuit that enhances his strength, agility, combat, and ability to fly. It was a very sleek design and it has been recreated in the DC Multiverse line before by McFarlane Toys. Now, it returns to McFarlane in an animated style, just like the hit Batman Beyond cartoon.

Just by imagery alone, there could be some top-heavy issues like the previous animated Batman toys. These figures look incredible and it does bring the Bruce Timm design to life that fans have fallen in love with. However, these designs work perfectly with a cartoon and not so much as an action figure. But time will tell on this release, and this might be a nice Gold Label to have sealed in your collection or displayed in a flying pose No Price or release date has been unveiled by McFarlane Toys, so stay tuned for a full reveal in the coming days.
