The Ghost Of The Battlefield On Your Shelf – Blizzard Unveils A Reaper Statue
When the first animation for Overwatch was released over two years ago at Blizzcon 2014, it was a short that showed two agents of Overwatch, Winston and Tracer, trying to stop a heist at a museum by Reaper and Widowmaker. The crowd was awed by the whole thing and I know the duel gun wielding, skull masked Reaper was the character that caught my attention.
The character is part of Talon, but was once with Overwatch as the leader of their covert ops team Blackwatch. He drains the life from those he kills in order to take in their energy. He can move across the battlefield like a ghost and is almost unstoppable in close quarters combat.
This week Blizzard has unveiled the first ever Reaper statue which can be pre-ordered on their site. The video below shows the piece off nicely. This is the second statue they are offering for sale, with Tracer being the first. But there was also a Soldier '76 statue that was released in a collector's edition when the game launched.
