Trick or Treat! Halloween has arrived, and there is nothing better than dressing up as a Ghostbuster and heading out to get some free candy. However, there is possibly one better thing to do on this Hallow's Eve, which is building DC Comics' Arkham Asylum from LEGO. The madness of this infamous DC set is coming to life as the build-up to this 2,953-piece set, which is loaded with Batman history. We left off with the arrival of Damien Wayne, the son of Bruce Wayne (Batman) and Talia al Ghul, making him the grandson of the villain Ra's al Ghul. He first appeared in DC Comics with Batman #655 (2006) and was created by Grant Morrison and Andy Kubert. Damien was raised in secret from Bruce and trained by the League of Assassins, but his father's moral code conflicts with his original training, adding a complex narrative to the story of him taking on the role of Robin.

Robin is helping build the stairs and front of Arkham Asylum, which might be hard to do as Harley Quinn joins in on the fun. Harley Quinn, real name Dr. Harleen Quinzel, first appeared on TV with Batman: The Animated Series in the episode "Joker's Favor" back in 1992. She was created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm and is actually a former psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum, but she fell in love with the Joker during her treatments. This ultimately transformed her into his devoted, and often abused, accomplice, but as time went on, she would become an independent antihero away from the Joker's shadow. Her LEGO minifigures showcase her modern DC black and red style, featuring colored hair that complements her lovely orange jumpsuit. She accessorizes with roller blades and her iconic mallet to complete her look.

We are starting to finish off some of the offices and walls of the Arkham Asylum first floor, along with some fun Easter eggs. On the desk, we see a Clayface mugshot and a newspaper that features a LEGO cover of DC Comics' The Dark Knight Returns. This, of course, is followed by our next DC Comics villain, who seems to be breaking in to save some friends, as The Riddler is here. Edward Nigma made his first appearance in Detective Comics #140 in 1948, created by Bill Finger and Dick Sprang. He is an intelligent but obsessive criminal mastermind who leaves riddles and puzzles at his crime scenes to challenge Batman's intellect. Riddler is here just in time to start the Asylum cells, which will be finishing next, so stay tuned and Happy Halloween!
