Action, Comedy, And One Scary Door In Help Us! Great Warrior #4
Action, comedy, and one scary door will capture your attention in this month's issue of Help Us! Great Warrior. From BOOM! Box, written and illustrated by Madeleine Flores, with colors by Trillian Gunn, Help Us! Great Warrior #4, is one intense issue! While I have to say that the issues thus far have been very amusing, none have been quite so engaging. In this issue, Great Warrior must deal with an evil demon, and come up with a way to stop her from destroying the world. We learn that while "the portal" was a small crack in the universe that allowed small monsters to creep through, there is something called "the chaos door" that let's in much more complicated things. Pretty interesting, huh?
Madeleine Flores normally doesn't write a heavy script, but in this issue, the script is even lighter than usual. Instead, she relies heavily on illustrations to move the plot along, and that is something that I truly appreciate when reading comics once and awhile. Of course, when it's overdone it can be a little frustrating, but this way leaves a lot to the imagination. Like I mentioned before, the issue is heavily action packed with some really awesome fight scenes, so be sure to prepare yourself for that. Overall, I'm really happy with where this series is going. I think the plot progression is really balanced, and I look forward to seeing more Great Warrior adventures. Be sure to pick up Help Us! Great Warrior #4 at your local comic book store this week.
