Batman: White Knight To Show Joker And Harley Like We've Never Seen Before
Batman: White Knight #1 flew off the comic shelves and got DC to extend it's run, but writer/artist Sean Gordon Murphy is teasing that we're going to see the Joker and Harley Quinn in a way that we've never seen them before… naked in bed together.
The romantic relationship between the two characters if often described as abusive and twisted. Harley's devotion to the Crown Prince of Crime is unhealthy and rarely do we see any genuine affection or compassion coming from the Joker. But this series offers up a cured Joker dealing with a criminally violent Batman and along with that cure comes humanity. Murphy teases the upcoming scene with the below image and states that we've never seen the two characters like this before.
Harley Quinn, who is celebrating her 25th anniversary, was created for the Batman: The Animated Series by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm. She became so popular that she was brought into the comic universe where she has become a fan favorite. The Joker is a bit older, having been created by Bill Finger, Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson in Batman #1 (April 25th, 1940) and may be one of the most recognizable villains in pop culture history.
Batman: White Knight #2 is due on comic shelves November 1st.
