FOOL; Dynamite's Women To Lead New Summer Event Again

As it was explained to me over a couple rum and cokes, the plan is to follow up last years Swords of Sorrow event with another all female written and drawn event focused around their four biggest female stars. The recently redesigned Dejah Thoris, Red Sonja and Vampirella will be joined by their newest hit series Grumpy Cat.
I'm told Gail Simone is not leading this event, but did have a say in choosing some of the creative teams.
The story revolves around the Egyptian Goddess Bastet's return to Earth. Something that happens every hundred years or so and keeps good and evil in balance. She is the first of the gods to return then she is followed Horus, Osiris and on until finally Anubis. Once each of them find a new vessel and work to help mankind find their way again, they wane back into non-existence. But the last time this cycle happened, Anubis did not pass on as the other had. He found away to stay and corrupt the human race, working up the anger and hatred in society, building his power. And he's not ready to give it up.

The planned event is a four-part miniseries along with three one-shots. There will be guest appearances from other prominent female Dynamite characters like: Jennifer Blood, Purgatori, Sheena and Lady Zorro.
Nicola Scott who redesigned the three starring characters will also be doing the same to the guest stars. This is where I'm told the snag hit. Scott created a new, more realistic design for Grumpy Cat / Tardar Sauce that was initially approved and then nixed by the owners of the character. The last minute change is what caused the announcement to be delayed as all promotional art had to be redone.
When asked about the story, Dynamite CEO Nick Barrucci declined to confirm or deny but did say about the potential of mixing Grumpy Cat into the rest of their titles, "Tardar Sauce is a strong female character, independently minded, focused and serious. She's been mood-shamed into being described as grumpy, but in fact, she just concentrates a lot."
Barrucci said to expect a major announcement coming out of Emerald City Con on April 7th.
