Fanboy Wrampage: CM Punk Trashes Image Comics; Rob Liefeld Responds
When CM Punk left the world of professional wrestling he wasted no time in burning bridges, trashing his former employer WWE on Colt Cabana's podcast, prompting a lawsuit from a WWE doctor in response, winning said lawsuit, then feuding with Colt Cabana over the legal fees. So it should be no surprise that, having not written a comic book in a while, Punk has no qualms trashing comics professionals as well.
Responding on Twitter to a comparison of the newly formed All Elite Wrestling (AEW) to Image Comics, Punk threw some jabs at the revolutionary comic book publisher:
Punk's verbal ass whooping set off the "no feet" alarms of superstar artist and Image founder Rob Liefeld, who responded:
Will these two settle their differences in the wrestling ring? Or maybe the octagon? Based on Punk's previous MMA performances, the matchup might be more even than you'd initially believe.
Fanboy Rampage was a blog by Graeme "Graham" McMillan dedicated to the funniest, most ludicrous and most inappropriate comic book back-and-forths online. McMillan has moved on now, becoming a proper journalist for the likes of The Hollywood Reporter and Wired but he gave permission to Bleeding Cool to revive his great creation. But you know, with a "W," because wrasslin'.
