Hammer's Captain Kronos To Return In The Pages Of A Titan Comic

kronosOne of the ultimate, cult-classic films is getting a new lease on life in the pages of a comic. Titan Comics is expanding its Hammer Horror line to include Captain Kronos. The new series will be written by Dan Abnett and drawn by Tom Mandrake.

The series is the second from Titan, following The Mummy by Peter Milligan and Ronilson Freire, and is based on the 1974 film that starred Horst Janson and Caroline Munro. It told the story of a vampire hunter and expert swordsman that finds himself in a small town where several of the local young women have been drained by a vampire's kiss. His investigation leads to the Durward estate and the Lady Durward.

The comic series will tell a new tale of the Captain and his hunchbacked assistant. No specific release date has been given, but it is said to debut this year.
