I might just be an easy mark, but the blurb for Fallen World, the latest comic series from Warhammer 40,000 scribe Dan Abnett, reads like something ripped right out of my own personal comic book bucket list:
In the year 4002, a cyborg samurai named Rai struggles to find his morality, while the nanite-filled supersoldier[...]
I'm not blaming Dan Abnett for that — this is just the character that Harley is now.
All that aside, this book is enjoyable We have some interesting character beats with Mera and Arthur The latter's friendship with Murk has been damaged The team Arthur chooses to fight the Squad is pretty damn cool.
Aquaman #39 art[...]

Aquaman has lost his battle against Corum Rath, but help may be on the way. Can Atlantis survive? Who will be the ruler? Is it a good read?
Mera is dueling Ocean Master for the fate of Atlantis. The winner gains the throne and the assistance of Xebel. The loser dies. Is it a good read?
The new Titans begin their first mission when a metahuman manifests in New York City. They need to save the city and the new metahuman. Is it a good read?
Wednesday approaches. Which comics are worthy of your pull box? Bleeding Cool is here to help you decide. Read here for the answers.

Dan Abnett is a name some gamers may have seen if they recently downloaded any of the Dungeon Hunter games for smartphones But people in general are probably much more familiar with his work for Marvel and DC where he's been the writing inspiration behind Death's Head 2, Battletide, Knights of Pendragon, Aquaman, Punisher, War Machine,[...]
The friendship angle to the previous Titans lineup will be missed, but I look forward to how Dan Abnett makes the new chemistry work.

Mera: Queen of Atlantis #4 is another painfully chatty issue in this miniseries. While there is nothing inherently wrong with this comic opting to spend much of the runtime spouting dialogue, it is hampered by predictable plot points.
