But if you can't quite wait and want free comic books now, and don't mind them digital, but do want them legal, here is how to go about it.

As well as a bunch of previews and previous FCBD titles, Marvel has Marvel's The Avengers #1, Marvel's Avengers Alliance #1, Secret Wars: Civil War #1, Silver Surfer Infinite #1, Ms Marvel Infinite #1 and Ultimate Spider-Man #1 for free here.

DC Comics has similar with Superman/Batman #1, Harley Quinn #1, Batman Adventures #1 and more.

Dark Horse also has plenty, including Bloodhound #1, BPRD Hell On Earth New World #1, Conan #0, Dungeon Siege III #1, #2 and #3, Falling Skies #1, #2, #3, #4, Falling Skies: Battle Of Fitchburg #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, Halo Escalation #1, Kabuki #1, The Machines #1, Mass Effect Foundation #1, Mind MGMT #0, The Strain #1, Plants Vs Zombies: Lawnmaggedon #1 and much more.

Image Comics Central titles need a little more hunting down… such as Manhattan Projects #1 and Impaler Epilogue
