American Horror Story Season 8 Teaser: The Signs of the 'Apocalypse' Are Upon Us!
Following up on news out of their Televison Critics Association (TCA) summer press event that Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's American Horror Story had been renewed for a 10th season and that Jessica Lange is returning to the series for Apocalypse, FX has released the first official teaser for the horror anthology's upcoming eighth season.
While it's brief and clearly lacking in anything that would reflect directly on the season's storyline, it's clear that the series will live up to its "Apocalypse" theme — and raises more questions as to what roles the players from Murder House and Coven will play to hinder — or help — the antichrist himself, Michael Langdon (Cody Fern):
FX broke some great news for American Horror Story fans at this year's TCA summer press event: that the horror anthology series had been renewed for a 10th season (FX Networks CEO John Landgraf: "He (Murphy) asked for a 10th season of American Horror Story which we were happy to give to him"); and that Lange would be reprising her Murder House role as Constance Langdon, appearing in the sixth episode – which marks Sarah Paulson's directorial debut on the show (Paulson: "I have the great pleasure of saying, yes, she (Lange) will be back").
Paulson's Billie Dean Howard appeared in Murder House, and her Cordelia Foxx appeared in Coven. Peters played ghostly teen Tate Langdon in Murder House and fraternity president Kyle Spencer in Coven. Lange's Constance Langdon appeared in Murder House, while Bates and Roberts joined the franchise during Coven as Madame Delphine LaLaurie and Madison Montgomery, respectively.
American Horror Story: Apocalypse premieres Wednesday, September 12th at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT on FX.
