UFOlogy #2 Lays Building Blocks For Upcoming Action
From BOOM! Studios, written by James Tynion IV and Noah J. Yuenkel, with art by Matthew Fox, UFOlogy focuses on two main characters, Becky Finch and Malcolm Chamber. Both of them want very different things out life. Becky wants a simple life where she can be left alone, while Malcolm wants to experience as much of the universe as he can. In the first issue we watched those two characters walk through a lot of chaos. UFOlogy #2 picks up after the disaster at the abandoned house. As the bodies of Eustace and "the stranger" are examined, Becky and Malcolm's stories continue.
While Becky recovers in a hospital bed, Malcolm stays with her until she wakes up. The two share some words, before Malcolm continues his investigation. His instincts tell him that something more is happening, and he won't stop until he finds out what it is. James Tynion IV and Noah J. Yuenkel continue to write a powerful script. I felt more immersed in the last issue, but I think that was because everything was so powerful and new.
The second issue adds some more information to the base that we already have, and starts building blocks for some intense action ahead. I mentioned in my last review that Matthew Fox's ability to illustrate movement on a page was incredibly impressive. I'm happy to say that it still is, and you can add some creepy background movement to those talents. Be sure to look at all sections of the panels as you read. If you haven't had a chance to check out UFOlogy yet, be sure to dive into this sci-fi adventure.
