Warren Ellis' Wild Cats and Sholly Fisch's Scooby-Doo Dive Into DC's Multiverse

At the end of DC Comics' 52 weekly limited series back in 2007, it was revealed that the new DC Multiverse consisted of 52 parallel dimensional universes. These were later codifed in DC's Multiversity series. When the DC New 52 started, some of them had gotten jiggled about quite a bit. There was more jiggling around DC Rebirth as the Wildstorm characters and books did a rapid vanishing act. And then Metal opened up a plethora of additional dark dimensions. But there are still meant to be 52 core universes in the DC multiverse, even if that Source Wall has been broken.

But in Warren Ellis and Ramon Villalobos's Wildcats #2, it's not sounding too healthy.

There is a way station floating in the Bleed, the space between macrocosms. It is a still point in the whole of reality, where a woman is trying very hard not to go insane and make everything die. But it is haunted by the ghosts of 52 universes, and she is losing her grip. If the wild cat can't rescue her, and she loses, the Multiverse gets poisoned to death.

Talking of which, also from DC Comics in September, is Scooby-Doo Team Up #50 by Sholly Fisch and Scott Jeralds. Which, even for its fiftieth and final issue, is resolutely keeping its $2.99 price tag, But they are going out with a bang with all the Batmen and Scooby Doos they can find.

Magical fanboy imps Bat-Mite and Scooby-Mite are back—and they've brought along a host of Batmen and Scooby-Doos! But when the mites conjure up the ultimate trans-dimensional menace for our heroes to battle, will even a League of Batmen and Society of Scoobies be enough to save their infinite Earths?
