Blizzard To Launch New PTR For 'Warcraft III'

Warcraft III was released back in 2002, one of the last titles from Blizzard because they blew the doors open with World Of Warcraft and became a major MMORPG studio. Since that time, Blizzard has periodically offered support to WC3, much like they have their other titles, and never let the fans of the series down who may not be into WoW. Now it appears that Blizzard will be going the extra mile on a 15-year-old game by launching a PTR server.

This post on their site shows brand new update notes for Warcraft III, which there's a bit to unpack, but the gist of this is you're going to be getting automated tournaments, better matchmaking dynamics, improved latency and a few other adjustments to test out before they're applied to the game. If you love the game, now is a good time to try out some new improvements.
