Dragon Ball Super CG Value Watch: Supreme Rivalry In July 2022

Dragon Ball Super Card Game is a dynamic hobby for collectors. The value of cards can sometimes be unpredictable, as it is far more reliant on the playability of cards than, say, the Pokémon TCG. However, collectors do have some influence, and SCR cards with popular characters sometimes end up becoming break-out cards. Now, every month, I will release an installment of this series, Dragon Ball Super CG Value Watch. This series is not financial advice but is rather a way to help collectors know the trajectory of a card's availability so that DBSCG completionists like myself know when to strike. Today, let's see how the cards of Supreme Rivalry, which were released in May 2021, are doing in July 2022.

There is essentially no movement on this set, but I do want to note a prediction that I made earlier… is slowly coming true. SS3 Gohanks, Interdimensional Warrior SCR lost $5 this month and I predicted and strongly believe that it will soon become a less than $100 card and that it will stay that way. This SCR does not have the makings of a high value chase card, mostly due to not a single Dragon Ball fan giving much of a shit about Gohanks. It's not a "waifu" type card, it's not a popular character, and it's not a stunning piece of artwork so I do feel it was almost a default chase card in a set that really kind of doesn't have one on par with most other Unison Warrior Series sets.
