Gamers Desperately Want Shaggy in Their Games Now

If you're not already aware of the meme going around, there's an online petition demanding NetherRealm Studios put Shaggy from Scooby Doo in Mortal Kombat 11. It has become a little hard to trace back where the idea came from, but the game's co-creator, Ed Boon, originally said the idea was probably not going to happen. Then out of the blue, he seemed to have a change of heart, followed by this post showing what appears to be a fully rendered version of Shaggy in the game fighting Scorpion. It looks like they just quickly designed a skin to fit over Baraka, but it seems like something they took some time to create to make it work if they chose to do it.

But that's not all. In the middle of all this fire and fury to get him into MK11, the Dungeons & Dragons community have been now pushing to have the character added as an NPC boss in the world of D&D. With the current Shaggy himself, Matthew Lillard, showing off a page of stats and story created by Wyrmwood Gaming using art from Raiko Art. If you're not already in the know, Lillard is one of the masterminds behind Beadle & Grimm, who made an awesome Waterdeep set for D&D, which we'll be reviewing shortly.

Will Shaggy actually see the light of day in either of these classic gaming entities? For those of us with a sense of humor, we certainly hope so!
