The Latest Update For Detached Adds A Racing Mode?
This is not an announcement I would have ever expected, but Anshar Studios have added a new multiplayer race mode to Detached and it is fully playable at PAX West this weekend.
Race mode will meet the expectations of players who have already perfected control of the advanced EVA suit. Racing through the destroyed spacecraft is extremely challenging, and the slightest error will cost you time (or your life). Prove that it's you who rules this part of the space rift! In addition to the challenging environment, you have to focus on your opponent, who is waiting for you to make the slightest mistake. A moment of inattention is enough for a counterattack… but if you're skilled enough, you can use the boost module to get out of trouble!
Race mode is just the beginning. The best players will be shown on the leaderboards available in all modes (Package Extraction, Race, and Single Player campaign). Creating a game and finding opponents was never as easy as it is now with the private lobby, where you can also choose the control setup and game mode.
What's more, an all-new difficulty level awaits space exploration lovers – conditions in outer space have never been so realistic! Simulation mode is a bow to the most passionate fans of space travel, who are no strangers to weightlessness. Carefully use the thrusters to adjust your flight path, and find out if you have what it takes to become a real astronaut. Or, well, as real of one as any of us could ever hope to be.
You can check out the racing tutorial below. Because you need a tutorial for that?
