Niantic Finally Fix A Nagging 'Pokémon GO' Bug To PokeStops

If you've been one of the many players who are angry at Pokémon GO for having faulty PokeStops, your days of being mad at this one particular item should be over. Overnight, Niantic finally addressed the lingering bug in their system for the past few weeks where a Pokestop would only drop two items at a time, causing massive issues with players who were used to receiving multiple items as they passed by and checked into the stop. Granted, the bug did not affect ALL of the game's users, but there was enough of a population going through issues that it caused an uproar on Twitter and got the company to finally look into the matter.

Niantic Finally Fix A Nagging 'Pokémon GO' Bug To PokeStops

If you believe the rumor mill on other websites and Reddit, the fan theory is that Niantic are testing out a new system where they could turn any PokeStop into a gym as they see fit. Meaning if a particular gym is having issues or is flooded with players constantly causing it to switch sides or crash, Niantic could theoretically close the gym down and move it to a new location, turning the current one into a regular PokeStop and making a new hotspot nearby to balance the game out. But there's no real data to prove that's what's happening, so, for now, we'll just have to speculate.
