Nintendo Will Hold a Special Super Mario Maker 2 Nintendo Direct

Nintendo made a surprise announcement this morning letting fans know they'd be holding a special Nintendo Direct for Super Mario Maker 2. The company made the announcement on Twitter letting fans know they would be getting a full presentation tomorrow on Wednesday, May 15th at 3pm PDT in which they will be showing off a full 15-minute presentation about the game and what you can expect from it down the road.

We had naturally assumed that any information related to Super Mario Maker 2 would be held off until the Nintendo Direct feed in June that would take place the day E3 2019 kicks off, but it appears this game has so much going for it that they're going to treat it like they did Super Smash Bros. Ultimate before it. The game is set to be released on June 28th, 2019 for the Nintendo Switch.
