Sheogorath Returns to The Elder Scrolls: Legends in Isle of Madness
Isle of Madness is the upcoming story expansion for Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls: Legends digital CCG, which brings Sheogorath back into the spotlight.
Sheogorath is the Daedric Prinec of Madness, and as such, is every inch a madman. However, Sheogorath isn't just one path of crazy. As anyone who played through Oblivion's The Shivering Isles expansion can tell you, the Prince of Madness swings between two paths: Mania and Dementia.
The story expansion comes in three acts, which you nab as a set with the $19.99USD pre-order, or you can pick them up a la carte after they release. The Isle of Madness pre-order nets players with all three acts of the story, a bonus Prince of Madness card back, and the rare player title "The Shivering." Bethesda is also offering a Premium Pr-Order for $49.99 USD which nets players all the content of the standard pre-order, plus premium playsets of all 55 collectible cards, a premium version of the Prince of Madness card back, and the epic player title "Master of Madness."
However, new cards and fancy titles isn't all players have to look forward to with this expansion. Isle of Madness brings Legends players to the Shivering Isles with a few new gameplay twists with a new card mechanic and new lane conditions. To coincide with Sheogorath's dual-sided madness, the new expansion brings in double cards which captures the essence of two distinct cards housed together on one cardback. Once drawn, the double card splits, granting players two cards for the price of one.
Finally, as players traverse the Shivering Isles, they'll encounter two new lane conditions that will change how they play their creatures. The Dementia Lane deals damage to opponents if you control the most powerful creature in the lane, while Mania draws you a card for having the creature with the highest health. Some cards in the Isle of Madness expansion can convert the existing lanes into Mania or Dementia lanes, so keep an eye on changing lane conditions as well.
The Isle of Madness expansion will release on January 24, 2019 for The Elder Scrolls: Legends. You can find out more information on the expansion and its pre-order packages here.
