"The Survivalists" Gets A New Monkey Training Video

Team17 has released a new trailer this week for The Survivalists as you get to learn how to train your monkey to do what you need. As weird as that may sound, the game has added what they call the "Mimic System" in which you can get your pet monkey on the island you're stranded on to help you. You can train them to be warriors, archers, craftsmen, or landscapers. Each of these is a vital skill that will help you survive and fend off danger from around the island. Enjoy the new trailer as The Survivalists will be released sometime in 2020 for PC and console.

"The Mimic System" will see players befriend and tame wild monkeys before training them with bananas. As they munch down on their musa, players will have to show their primate cousins the actions to replicate and provide the necessary tools. From there, they'll gladly help and support survivors in their adventures. Players will be able to harness the power of multiple monkeys to create 'monkey chains', setting them up to work together to achieve a greater goal such as creating an axe for another to chop down trees for wood that can be used by others to build bases.
