Tonight Is Growlithe Spotlight Hour In Pokémon GO: March 2022

Tonight is Growlithe Spotlight Hour in Pokémon GO. From 6–7pm tonight, Tuesday, March 15th, Growlithe will be appearing with increased frequency in the wild. It will also be responding more frequently to Incense and will even pop up in spawn points that are not normally active. Keep in mind, though, that stationary Incense has been nerfed to one spawn per five minutes, so you will need to get out there and walk in order to activate the Incense buff. This is the third Spotlight Hour of March 2022 in Pokémon GO. Let's get into the details.

Good news, Shiny hunters. Many will likely know this due to this Shiny being available for such a long time, but for those wondering, I can indeed confirm that Growlithe can be Shiny. The standard Growlithe, pictured above, is Tigger-orange and black with a tan snout, chest, and tail. Shiny Growlithe replaces the orange with a light yellow, which is quite noticeable. I personally need another Shiny Growlithe so I can complete my Shiny family and evolve one up into Arcanine, so I hope to get out there, pop and Incense, and grind tonight's Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour.

Incense isn't the only item you should use tonight, though. At the top of the hour, pop two Star Pieces, because tonight's bonus is double Catch Stardust. This is an easy bonus to take advantage of while you Shiny hunt for Growlithe, as all you have to do is activate your Star Pieces and then catch, catch, catch.

• Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022 from 6 PM – 7 PM: Sudowoodo Spotlight Hour with a bonus of double Catch XP
• Tuesday, March 29th, 2022 from 6 PM – 7 PM: Paras Spotlight Hour with a bonus of double Catch Candy
