Toy Fair New York: Transformers Introduces New Animated Series Figures, Predaking at Presentation

During the Hasbro Toy Fair New York presentation, representatives of the Transformers brand gave a spirited talk about where the line is, where it is going, and a preview of the new cartoon Transformers: Cyberverse. That show will tell the story of the Autobots and Decepticons through the eyes of Bumblebee. He will have Optimus Prime, Grimlock, and Winblade at his side, while the Decepticons will be represented by Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, and a new debuting female Decepticon named Shadowstriker. In the showroom afterwards, neither Winblade or Shadowstriker was on display, but the other six were. The Cyberverse figures will come in four classes- Scout, Warrior, Ultimate, and Ultra class.

After that, we got a vinyl release of music from the classic cartoon series. It will be on colored vinyl and awesome artwork on the cover. We then moved on to Generations, where we went over Power of the Primes and how it brings this story trilogy to an end. Before it does though, we are getting some badass female robots and the return of Predaking, one of my personal favorites. He is massive and quite heavy, and one robot that will be in my house.

Lastly, we saw a bunch of the Hasbro/Takara Tomy produced Movie Masterpiece line. A bunch of these are coming, starting with Bumblebee at 001, so you can start a new Transformers line on the ground floor. We also saw Jazz, Blackout, and a few others. But the real knockout was the Grimlock. Say whatever you want about the movie-version of the character, but it makes for some great toys. This one is by far the best. The coolest part about these is that they are fully licensed, so they are completely screen accurate.

Check out a bunch of pictures of everything, including the ridiculously awesome Predaking, down below.
